Ok, so I just bought an engine, off ebay. And I was visually inspecting it and I found that there was rust on top off the intake valves and on the top off the cylinders, pics below. What do you think. Is this ok, just spray a bunch of WD and crank it over , or pull the head? Thanks.

If there's rust showing on the intake valves, then the piston sleeves are bound to be rusted too on the cylinders those valves were open in.

That there is a motor that was left outside and water made it into the open ports. Who ever you bought it off of did not seal the ports before leaving the motor outside.

Well tore down the top end and this what I see. The head was fine the rust cleaned right off the valves and the seats were fine, the cylinder block however had slight rust on the walls, pics below. Thankfully I wa just able to hone it and the rust was removed. While it is apart I was thinking of going with the wiseco piston kit, 1MM overbore. Anyone have this?
