Anyone know the best place to get a good deal on Sato sliders for an 06 10r? Best I have been able to find so far is $135, which seems like a lot for some bolts and some plastic.

Thanx

Really not sure about the Sato's - first off they don't even bolt to the frame [?] (the strongest part of the bike), they bolt to the engine casing and clutch cover [:M75] and perhaps more importantly, they look like they sit waaaay too low (see pics on their website satoracing.com if u haven't already looked), practically in line with the rearsets [:M51] If you consider the COG of the 06 10r was raised this would mean that if the bike goes down the low contact point will simply lift the wheels and do even more damage to the upper body area, bars, tank etc [:M35] Check out their disclaimer too... tho they look nice :D

Only frame sliders i've been recommended (by two road racers) are R&G - know they mean a fairing cut and water bottle replacement, but i'll be taking their advice! :D

ridersinc.com...tried them call Nick or Andrew I am pretty sure they will beat the $135..its expensive because you have mounting hardware that comes with it...not just the pucks..mounted to the engine..apparently one of the best place for crashs but everybody has not the same opinion on it.but every accidents is different..Sliders are made to save your frame not the plastic fairings...

These look interesting! No cut, but frame fixed base plate... where does the hidden part of the base plate fix to? Frame behind fairing? And how come base plate spacer on the left is uncoated but spacer on the right is black?
And do you know if the supplier can ship to the UK?
