I balance out first but.. I can't shift to 2nd yet..

See when I lift it up, i'm not covering my clutch.. and I don't feel i have the time to reach for it...

Just practice i suppose..

i try power shifting it when I bring it down a little but it's too late then i guess... oh well just more practice..

I've tried unsuccessfully clutch shifting it up in 2nd, maybe i was going to slow... but i'm worried about the wear and tear on my clutches...

any advice?

I am the same way as you. I stand when i do wheelies and when i do it in first gear i can ride it for quite some time till i tack out. But i can't get my foot in until i'm almost down to shift into 2nd and than it's too late.. I know it can be done in second gear without smacking the clutch... but it is tough to get down and i'm not there yet. I too don't want to rev and let the clutch out, can't be good on the bike. Although if i keep doing wheelies i will eventually need new front fork seals. My two cents....
