Here's a pic of my 06 650r that I picked up about a week ago. Handlebars gotta go! Any advise on clip ons? Looking for an inexpensive upgrade. I heard sv650 clip ons work well and look pretty sporty. Any safety issues with clip ons on these bikes? Or any alternate suggestions under $100? I looked at the LSL bars...don't like them.

Whichever route you do go make sure you've got bar end weights. the vibes from twin will rattle your bones out of their sockets otherwise.

Cheers

Here she is. Just a plain stock 2015 ninja 650 6,xxx miles. I got it for a steal from it being repossessed . The fairings are a little scratched but you cant really tell in the pic. Im wondering about slapping some ER-6n fairings and converting it to a naked bike if it doesnt end up being a bigg hassle. Probably will put a slip on its dangerously quiet.

May want to consider keeping it faired and adding one of these, already set up as you want...

Here's my 2009 Ninja. Fancied the blue after I rented one and loved it on the highways and in the twistys outside of Bangkok. Picked this one up for a good price, only 24,000 on the clock. Mods so far; exhaust, rear sets, bars and levers, gear indicator, damper, seat, headlights, bar end mirrors. To come; braided lines, new shock, ECU and hopefully a brake upgrade. Bit of a handful in the Bangkok traffic and not happy at anything under 100kph. Once he gets out of the traffic jams, she's sweet. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/poolcleaner/small 1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/poolcleaner/small 2.jpg

My cruiser has a universal windshield from National Cycle like the one at the link below.
It is my second windshield- the first one was not made of Lexan polycarbonate, and vibration cracked it after a few thousand miles. This one has lasted for about 20,000 miles so far and it works well for keeping wind off my chest during longer trips:
