I got my BC 1600 today. I want to put speed sensor in the front fender. There are 2 screws visible, and I was hoping that would do it. Turns out there is another screw inside the fender that I can't get to without removing the wheel. What is a good for mounting magnetic censor on front wheel? I'm lost. I really want all wires out of sight as much as possible.

I have been using a BC800 for a while now. I am not sure how it differs from the BC1600. Anyway, I have my pickup mounted on the left fork tube with the magnet mounted on the disk rotor. You can take the magnet out of the plastic holder and just epoxy it to the rotor.

So it's alright epoxied to the front rotor?! No zip tie as back up?

I'd LOVE to put a BC800 on my ZX6R, but am afraid that it won't pass tech with a magnet ziptied/epoxied onto my rotor.

What's the diff between the BC800 and BC1600 aside form price? Does the BC800 serve as a lap timer or is that a $ feature with the 1600?

The BC800 has speed, max speed, average speed, odo, trip odo, clock and trip time.

You can epoxy the magnet to the rotor, no problem. The magnet itself is only about 1/8" in diameter and 1/2" long. Pick a spot that won't interfere with the brake caliper. Make sure that you place it so that it is paralel to the long axis of the pickup. On mine I epoxied it in place and let it set up then went back and put on a second coat of epoxy that actually covered the whole magnet. It has been on there fore about 15,000 miles.
