This guy in my town has been cruising around in a brand new Red Ferrari. I think it is the f355 Spider but don't quote me on this. I will say this. It had some pretty big balls but I didn't down shift to 1st gear from 50mph like I would against other bikes from a roll on. We went at it with him in a two car lead ahead of me. We went up to 140 or so and I passed him and went on ahead about 4-5 car lengths. This mid 50ish guy was very cool and pulled up frantically giving me the thumbs up and wanted to go again. This time we were even and I went at it with him from 60mph in 2nd gear. This time we ran it up to 150 and by the time we shut down I was about 5-6 cars ahead of him and pulling. Needless to say, I was impressed with his beautiful car but I was loving my little green machine even more.. ;)

The races with my buddy's 01ZX7R are always the same. The 6R is just too light and powerful for him once I get in my powerband. He weighs about 235 and I weigh about 195. Throw in the fact that our 6's are 377lbs compared to the 7's 448 and it isn't too hard to understand why I kill him everytime we race.

Just outside Cape Town we have a pass called Sir Lowrey's Pass. I was on my way home from a rally, decided to take it slow!!! Well, came around a corner and there was this F40 Ferrari. He overtook another car and I followed. The next minute he planted the gas and all thoughts of me going slowly disappeared!!! We were well above the 220km/h mark and in the short straight areas he would slowly actually pull away from me. I never fell to far behind an caught him everytime there was just a sniff of a corner.

On the other side of the pass we had to both stop as they had closed the road due to a truck that had broken down. We had a short chat and he commented on the good road holding of my 1000cc motorcycle. Should have seen his face when I told him it was only a 600cc!!!!
