Okay well now that I have my 96 ZX6R I was just wondering since I am new to bikes but know alot about cars.
Are they basically the same as cars as of type of oil etc?

-The manual lists 4 different oils...10W-40, 10W50, 20W-40, 20W-50...which would be the best?
-Chain lubrication...how exactly...just like a bicycle LOL?
-Best plugs....NGK-CR9E???

And basically any others that copuld help me out with maintaining my bike.
I feel like an idiot since Im a car guy but I just wanna varify :)

Thanks Jay

You should use a four-stroke oil,it's made for motorcycles, and is better for the clutch. Since your in Canada? you will probably not need the heavier oils. Manual lists recommended oil for ambient temp.(FYI; The first number is flow rate when cold, second number is rate when hot.) I run a semi-synthetic 10-w40. Manual also lists recommended plug. Chain should be kept clean and oiled regularly, with lubricant recomended for o-ring chains. Good Luck!
