Sorry guys, don't mean to bore you all here... but here's a few of the bikes I've owned...

My '98 ZX6R...

My '99 R6...

My '97 GSX-R600...

My '86 Ninja 600R and '95 ZX-6...

My first streetbike ever, an '82 Honda CB450T Hawk...

And my first motorcycle ever, a '77 Honda Z50R...

I've also owned several dirt bikes too...

And my latest and hopefully greatest, the '03 sexy redhead...

... which by the way looks slightly different now, I'll be posting some more newer pics once they're developed (no digital camera, still use the old fashioned "film" way... sigh)

Naw, you know, some people are big on Honda fit and finish. I have never seen a Honda that turned me on. I always thought that Honda fit and finish everybody bragged about seemed Katana-esque when you sat on them. The Gixxer, the R6, the 6R... all seem very RACY when you sit on them, with open cages at the front, almost crude like, but very RACY. The Honda seemed upright and, well, Katana-like. The way the air ducts ran over the frame and blended in with the fairing, the way the whole guage cluster seemed "polished" and closed-in. Some people bought the Hondas because of this... it's why I steered clear. The new RR is a step in the right direction, but still is too polished for my taste.

Again, to each their own. Maybe I'm the weird one...

Sorry for the delay in responding...

But yeah... the bike comes with both in North America anyway... in Europe I understand you only get one or the other... but here you should have got both with the bike.

Hopefully your dealer isn't trying to pull a scam of some kind, but then I can't imagine you can make too much money selling solo seat cowls for bikes that COME with them.

Well, that's a tough question for me right now since I have only had one ride in on the new 636 yet and of course the whole break-in thing. Winter sucks this year, normally I'm riding by now.

BUT, leaving the new bike out of things for now... I'd honestly say the '97 Suzuki. It was SO stable and yet handled sharper than the '98 ZX6R. Power sucked down low, but it had a fantastic top end rush. The '98 ZX6R was a great bike, was actually mint when I got rid of it. I really enjoyed both bikes. The R6 and I never really got along well. I found it twitchy and nervous, sharp in the corners, but never really confidence-inspiring. Plus, I HATED the fact that at full lock, the bars pinned your hands against the gas tank. Power didn't seem to be up any from the Suzuki, with the same kind of powerband, nothing until 9k then whoosh if you follow me.

Just a guess here, but I'm going to like the 636 best of all... ;)
