I'm turning my bike into a street fighter and wanted to get a nice small gauge, I found this on amazon and it says the drive ratio is 2:1. Will this work work right or will it give me an even more exagerated speed than what I have now?

Well that's meant for hooking up to an electric speedo sender. The 250's have a cable driven speedo so it won't work at all. You'd ALSO need a separate electric sender for the gauge (which ARE adjustable normally) for that gauge to work.

I looked again and it says that it's a cable driven speedo. Also could you explain what you mean about the electric sender unit. The plug on this gauge looks just like the one on the oem setup.
