I am getting the RK 520 Chain/Sprocket Quick Accel kit for my bike and I was wondering if the speeedo healer is neccesary for this setup. I heard that if you dont use it, the odometer reading on the bike may be wrong. Would it be a good investment for $90?
If you change your gearing, and you want the speedo/odo to be correct its necessary. I have one on my bike. Easy install and setup. If it saves me a ticket I figure its worth it. Or at least I'll know I really was doing xxxmph while the officer writes it up
i like the top speed recall function too. its always nice to prove i was really going that fast when i brag about it . but if you want the speedo and odo to work correctly after the new chain and different size sprockets then yes you need it.
