will a 14 43 setup work on our bikes cause i have them laying around and i know a lot of ppl do the 14 42 setup sooo...

Yes, it will. Stock gearing is 15/43. I don't think I have heard of anyone going 42 in the rear though.

it will work but most people go -1 +2 you will need 14-45 sprockets, 14-42 gearing is for the 03-04 636

I'm gonna ask, what do ya wanna do?? Scream around or cruise? If ya need a bike with power, you shoulda bought a 1K. Sprockets do some enhancements, but to me, no matter how you gear a 636, it's still a 636. I run -1 +3 at the track and +1 over stock on the street and wanna drop it in the rear. I have nothing to prove on the street, and on the track, the gearing helps some, but it's tween the thighs that is where it counts, and I don't wanna go -1 there.......:Laughing rolling:

my -1 +2 is nice, but after the yoshi and removal of cat and smog it is insanely loud on highway. Colorado to sturgis makes you think again about the change. It added a little power on my bike but i am agreeing with EA6BMECH. Its not as big of a power jump as i hoped for...
