The pre-1998 stock front sprocket has part number 13144-1259, and the newer sprocket has part number 13144-1288. They are shown in the Transmission section of the parts diagrams at Buykawasaki.com.

I like DID chains on AFAM sprockets.

Rob, ever tried Sprocket Specialists? The dealer I deal with is really pushing their anodized gold sprockets on me, but I've never run them. Any experience or tales from the track you have ???

I have tried Sprocket Specialists (SS), Sunstar, and AFAM sprockets.

Of those, the SS sprockets are available with the most options. They also weigh the least, tying the AFAM sprockets.

The Sunstar sprockets are the most inexpensive.

I tried the AFAM sprockets at the suggestion of Dan Kyle, who has seen a sprocket or two. They weigh as little as the SS sprockets but have better fit and finish.

If you would like to try an SS sprocket, I will be happy to send you a 42t standard aluminum rear of size 525.

I just went down one in the front and noticed a huge difference.I was also thinking about going up to a 43T rear. One of the joys of riding for me is the awe inspiring whellie.i know this is the way but is it overkill? and how much do they run?

Appreciate it Rob, again, you're a good man. I am going to wait to take delivery of my bike first, heard a rumor they might be coming with gold sprockets, despite the pics I've seen so far. Anyway, I'll make a decision once I see the bike, just wanted your input on the SS sprockets since I've never run one. If I decide to grab one, I'll get in touch with ya and maybe we could work out a mutually good deal...

Thanks again!
