I've been debating the same thing for a month or so. I was thinking about just going up 2 in the rear, but for a little more money I can get a nice kit with both sprockets and new chain. Sprocketcenter.com has some nice kits. There was another that had a kit for $149, I believe it was sumofallparts.com but the site is down right now.
Whichever kit you buy make sure the chain comes with a rivet link and you install it correctly. Never have been a fan of clip links and a friend threw the chain on his trackbike a couple weekends ago because of a missing clip, destroyed the engine cases.
-1 in the front is cheaper and will make a nice difference. I'd suggest getting that first and then if you want more go another +2 in the rear. Thats what I did recenlty and its awesome, but not the best for long trips.
