Im no expert :)
But my old gixxer did this, and the guy I sold it to said he got the carbs cleaned (which I had also gotten done a month or so earlier) and replaced the plugs, and the problem dissapeared.

Not sure which one of those 2 were the culprit. He said the plugs were pretty dirty though.

Likely to be carbs, possibly float level.

It's not the speed that kills, it's the sudden stop...

So, the green monster is acting up. I've now had a couple of stalls when slowing down rapidly for a stop. Tach sometimes drops to 500 but engine recovers, other times it stalls and needs a restart. No problems at higher speed and restarts are normal, w/ no effort to get it going again. Seems to be related to rapid deceleration from high RPMs. I'm about 15 miles into a fill-up; I assume water would have showed up sooner and would cause rough running across the board, tough starts, etc.

I did a search through past threads but couldn't find a similar problem or fix.

---> Stalls do not seem to be a function of high vs. low RPM, but rather getting from high to low RPMs in a hurry.

Any experts out there? Help! and Thanks!
