So I just bought a 2004 Ninja 250 and it won't turn on! My knowledge about motorcycles is very poor. I recently bought a new battery thinking that was the problem but no luck.

When I set the bike on the ON position all the lights go on. However when I go to hit the start button I hear a click and the lights shut off. When I turn to the OFF position and back to the ON position the lights no longer go on. Am I starting the bike the wrong way or could there be something else wrong?

Thanks for the help in advance!

A connection on the high voltage side of the starting circuit is loose. Battery terminals, or wire from ground to battery or batter to relay, or relay to starter motor.

Hopefully those connections are easy to check!
