Hi people. Got a quick dumb question. When everyone starts there cold motorcycle, do you gal/guys add a little throttle into it? What if its already hot? Do we just press the strart button and let it catch itself hot and cold? Or do we always give throttle? What if it doesn't start or catch the first time? Do you gal/guys just turn it off and wait ten secs like the manual says? I got a 02 and it confusing me. Also mechanics say leave the choke on for less than 10 secs and some say turnoff the choke as soon as possible. Whats the right answer?????

I give it a little shot of gas as I start it. The bike is carbourated, so you need to give it gas when it's been sitting more then an hour or so, just like a car.

I leave the choke on until the engine gets to 40C, or until the engine sounds like it's running smoothly.

I actually left the choke open for 30km down the road once! was wondering why whenever I stopped the bike kept trying to accelerate..hehe

hey napster ninja i think you 0 for 2 so far in posting questions(biker boyz and this one)<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>. the answer to that question is somewhere in a topic called "choke behavior" or just type that in the search section. it really long and should have any type of situations that zx6r's can have. im not trying to call you out just that new members keep posting questions and nobody is responding because its a old topic. sorry.
