You guys that have replaced your sprockets, which would you recommend steel or aluminum. I just recieved an aluminum sprocket from sprocket specialist and it seems like it would wear out rather quickly. I was wondering it would be worth the trouble of putting it on only to remove in a few months.

They do wear out rather fast, but they have less mass making it easier for your engine to turn the back wheel. It doesn't really transate into much of a difference in power or speed, from what I've heard anyway. I'd put the sprocket on for two or three months, until it either begins to wear or I find a nice steel one.

Street, use steel. Aluminum, make SURE your chain is adjusted properly. Loose chains reek havoc on aluminum sprok's.
