I am not trying to blow you off but check out this threads. There is a lot of info and pretty much a lot of different opinions about steering dampeners. We have been discussing this topic quite a bit lately. Some talk about the 03 bike and some about the older ones. But pretty much everything being said is relevant.

I WAS WONDERING IF IT WOULD BE WISE TO INSTALL A STEERING DAMPENER ON MY 2002 ZX6R. IM A BEGINNER AND I WAS WONDERING IF IT WOULD MAKE IT STEER EASIER OR IF I SHOULD JUST LEAVE IT THE WAY IT IS.

Hi, Alex,

Yeah, the threads listed by eltorito pretty much give you what you need to know, but to answer your question, no, it will not make steering easier. If anything, depending on the setting you choose, steering will become harder because the damper will restrict the free movement of the handlebars.

Anyway, just wanted to ask: are you originally from the Philippines?
