I was riding with a buddy of mine on a gixxer with
a yosh pipe. I was commenting how I would like mine to
sound a little louder. He said if he had to do it again
he would keep the 500+ bucks he spent on the can and
drill out the rivets on the stock can ,remove some or
all of the packing and put new rivets back in.
Any takers?

will be doing mine over the weekend, i'll post up and let you know how it worked. i dont think im gonna go crazy with it and pull all the baffling out. that would create to little backpressure and i would have to fuck with re jetting. no thanks. a couple of strategically placed holes in the baffling should boost upper range and sound alot better.

Did mine a few weekends ago... drilled out the rivets, pulled the end cap off, drill four equally space 1/2 inch holes in the end of the can, riveted the end cap back on... Voila. Sounds more agressive, my buddies can hear me when we ride now, and feels great up top.

Go green or go home...

you can do the ghetto mod but I've done it before and while it does make noise it just doesn't have that same tone as a nice pipe. BTW you can get a hindle ss bolt on that sounds awesome for $273 shipped from kneedraggers.
