Normally I don't mess around racing cars, but tonight was feelin ornery so when some joker in a new vette tried to push it I had to smoke his ass. Apparently he didn't like that I timed a light better than him so he caught up and started revving. Did a top gear roll on from 55 and left him then waited till he caught up. Did it again from 60 but this time dropped to 4th and really left his punk ass, could hear his engine really screaming for a couple seconds (poor car). Of course he had to fly by doing 100+ after I slowed down, but the point had been well made.[8D] No notch in the pistol grip, just playin.

Whats with the 100mph blow by after you have kicked their ass anyway? Some dumbshit even did that to me on a Harley, give me a break guy, you're riding a bike with technology designed before my grandpa was born (and he's been dead now for 18 years!) Admit defeat when beaten, you have a small penis, male pattern balding, and the only reason that hot girl is next to your sorry ass is for your wallet and your plastic car, I mean Corvette. [:0]

I'm sure the blow by in that dudes mind means he wins. That's happened to me a few times and I just have to laugh. Getting passed while slowing down for an exit ramp or to hang a corner. Makes them feel big and powerful.

Hey thewitmores, great comment about Harley's. I hate those POS's. That was a funny comment... also about the Chevy. My boss has a Harley and I refuse to even sit on it. Told him to ride my 6R but make sure he doesn't pull on the throttle the way he pulls on his Harley throttle. Why pay 3 times the money for 1/3 the power?

Well fellas, I have to agree with you. I pull up next to people all over town on my baby, and look over at them, but amazinly, I don't get any look like they wanna do something. What is up with that? I guess they are smarter than I give them credit for. I will even creep off the line, but they don't take the opportunity. There are a few vettes here in my po-dunk ass town, but I never get the privelege of tearing them a new ass. I guess I will have to wait my turn. In the meantime, I will continue to beat all other 600's on the planet.

Hey Guys,

I don't know if it is my bike or what, but I have an '00 ZX6R and if I do a top gear roll-on at 55mph, I think a Geo Metro could take me. I'd be at about 3 thousand RPM. Maybe 4th gear is more like it, but I dunno.

heh, you got almost no power at 3000 rpm :)
you want to be over 7000 rpm (at least) for some good power..

These bikes can run for days straight at 14000 rpm, you won't hurt the engine at all downshifting and gunning it to 13000 rpm all the time :)

Kawi, mine was the same w/top gear roll-ons until I dropped a tooth on the front sprocket, now it pulls much harder even from just 50mph. However, I'm not in the business of giving free shows so I usually drop a gear or two and disappear;)

I definitely agree man. If anything I think the drive components (clutch / tranny) will wear out before the engine. That is the case in most naturally aspirated cars as well. All ya gotta do is assist the tranny in the downshift by throttle blip and the thing will fucking do whatever you tell it to do...for as long as you want it to. If you're rollin along at 50 and want power...downshift! If it revs up to 5-6k that's not enough...downshift again! You want your rev's to be at like 8-9k...then when you hammer on the throttle you will FLY to 14k! Drop some synthetic oil in the bike and rev the tits off her!

Kawi, Cdn is right. You have to remember, you're not driving a Z28 camaro. Your bike needs to be revving much higher than any normal auto in order to make power. Kind of like my mom's Celica. Unless it's running around 6000 rpm, forget about passing anything but the mailman.

Harley's aren't meant to be sportbikes. They aren't supposed to be as fast as our 6R's. This past summer, I rode a New V-Rod when they first came out and let me tell you, DAMN!!!!!!!! Those things are f*$ckin Fast. My 6R would still beat it but not by much. If you got to ride a V-Rod, you would have a whole different respect for HD.

Look... I have a new zx6r AND a new vette. Stop bad-mouthing the corvette. It's one hell of a sports-car! Sure- you compare accelaration between the two and the bike will stomp the vette. But with top speed, class, and pure sex appeal... I'd rather have my vette.

Hmm... top speed, class, and sex appeal? If these are the qualities that excite you the most than that's one big waste of an '03! Shame on you for wasting that poor bike's time.

I'm with RED_6R on this one, I'm a huge corvette fan, There isn't a bigger bang for the buck on a car in the world. Corvette's are engineering masterpieces.

I wasn't bagging on vette's (if I had the $ I'd probably own one), just posers. Sure, class and pure sex appeal are subjective qualities, but don't bring top speed into it. By the time the vette hits it's top speed most sportbikes would be miles ahead of it. Oh wait, but that brings up acceleration again,,,sorry:D

A corvette is a very fine sports car, no one is disputing that fact. The point of the story is, The GUY driving the thing thought he was bad shit cuz he had one. People who think that their $45,000 cars can hang with our bikes deserve such treatment. I actually had a Volkswagen Jetta try to race me today on the highway. Needless to say, my sixth gear roll on left him wondering when kawasaki made time travel possible. LOL. Just kiddin, but I did leave his ass in a hurry.
