yeah that hole is needed so poop can come through...
theres a hole in my can.
i just got my new bike, and i saw there was a hole in the bottom of the can, and water drops out of it. do u guys and girls know whats are that about?

seriously though, mine has this little hole so and it's there for the exact reason you mention, so liquids can escape....
