From everything I read on the 03 ZX6R the only flaw is getting it into N. With the kawasaki positive netural finder its not as easy.

We're just spoiled because all bikes other than kawasaki positive netural finder bike have this problem. You just have to get used to it. As soon as you do you will not have any problems.

What about taking out the ball bearings is that the cause of the notchyness...I have owned suzuki's for the past couple of years and the trannys are like silk....This damn thing hangs up like the clutches are dragging...I think I am going to take the clutch sysyem apart and check it out really well.........

Normally you cant get into neutral while moving with ZX6R's. I had a 2001 that was the same way. You cant shift into neutral while coming to a stop. You have to wait till you are stopped then you can easily shift into neutral. There is a reason for that. That way you dont pull any neutrals while upshifting from 1st to 2nd. I had a 01 f4i and an 01 929 and they didnt have problems shifting into neutral while rolling to a stop but would sometimes hit neutral while shifting from 1st to 2nd. WOuld worry about taking anything apart..

im sorry officer i guess i didnt see you..

I found that I had to let each gear engage while downshifting. Are you guys just downshifting a few gears all at once without letting out the clutch?

I used to have the problem with having to engage 2nd before I could shift down into first too, until I installed a Scotts oil filter. Also seems to make to shift into neutral easier.

Step 1-Twist handle
Step 2-Hold on!

I don't have a problem with it at all upshifting. All I do is just give it a slight tap and I'm in nutural. It will even do it when I'm excelerating hard in first. I can't do it all the time while down shifting though.

You don't have to be faster then the bear, just faster then your friend.

Mine has the same problem... sometime it just wont find Neutral ... i'll have to roll it forward a bit and shift it in first then sometimes it will get neutral kinda a pain at lights and stuff

i have noticed that i never have a problem as long as I shift into first before I come to a complete stop.
