no problems so far. only annoying thing is the famous 1-2 hard shift.

Changed oil and filter (Mobil 5000 10w/40 dino oil, Mobil1 M-110 filter) at 300, 600 and 1500 miles, next oil/filter change at 4500 miles will be with Mobil1 Tan cap full synth 15w/50
Daily commuting, weekend twisties, main form of transportation right now
No problems other than an occasional missed 2-3 shift because I get lazy.
I do plan on installing a Factory Pro EVO shift kit as soon as they are available.

May I be the fool who says this again.
It certainly is a fact that many people have had transmission problems on the zx6r, but seeing it here again, its not a 90% of units problem... its a 10% of units problem. Mine is still fine (touch wood). I guesse like with all things some of them are sometimes gonna break.

I really hope this never happens to me but I have 6000KMS + on my bike and i haven't had a single problem yet. This makes one really wonder if it might not be abuse or wrong oil. And remember, abuse is not neccecarily deliberately abusing it. It might be kicking into first from second when not slow enough (i've done that twice, you can feel it in your blood you've just hurt it) or not shifting propperly....

Just my 2 cents.

Kawi oil then when i hit 10,001 - got Motul semi-syn.
Everyday including weekends (i started taking my 81 beater benz over the holiday weekend.. not planning on riding for a while.
Transmission feels very loose, not smooth. 1st - 3rd gear or when in gear and braking while holding the clutch, if feels like the whole tranny shifts forward. Hard to explain, but i know this is not how a transmission feels, kawi or non kawi.

I have 2500 miles on mine. Factory oil change at 500 miles, and then I just did it about 30 miles ago with Valvoline 10w-40 oil, said it was designed for wet clutches, and 4 stroke motorcycles.

I adjusted the shifter position down half to three quarters of an inch from factory. Now I only have a problem with second when I get very tired and get sloppy when shifting.
