I have a 1999 6r and is seems to be very rough on my front tyre. I mean it is almost bald! My rear is in good shape. I bought both tyres at the same time. I have checked the pressure almost before every ride and dont think this is the cause for unususal wear. has any one had this problem? I am using stock size tyres.

sounds odd, I went through my rear tire way before my front tire..
I'd check the balance on it, make sure it is balanced properly.

the front tire does not really need to be aligned, since it can only go in one way.

One other thing, which I'm sure it won't be since I can't see a mechanic making this mistake, is the tire (rubber) could be on backwards? This would probobly have caused a whole lot of other problems with handling though..

Also maybe the way the suspension is setup, it might be putting more weight forward, causing more wear.

Hola,

Check your ride height. If you modify it you put extra weight on the front tire and this could cause you to use it up quicker than normal.

Basically have a look at your rear shock and see if it is set up longer than standard.
