Does anybody have a Vance and Hines SS2R slip-on or full system? What do you guys think of them. I'm looking for a good slip-on(kind of partial to V&H) but I don't want something that is so loud it is obnoxious. And if I would get an SS2R slip-on now, could I buy the header later on? Also, where is the cheapest place you guys have found them? Thanks

I guess if you have a 00-02 bike you can not use the bolt on pipe on a aftermarket header cause the full system will have springs to hold it together instead of bolts. If it is an 03 it looks like it would work.

I have an 01. What do you mean it won't work on an anftermarket header because of the springs? Do they even make an aftermarket SS2R slip-on, or do they have only make a full system for my bike?

What I mean is that if you buy an aftermarket pipe for your year bike you wont be able to use the same pipe if you later decide to install an aftermarket header/full exhaust. Because a pipe for our bikes is bolted on to the factory header and a pipe on a full aftermarket exhaust is attached using springs, not bolts

I got ya, thanks. One more thing, I know that SS2R slip-ons are available for some bikes, is the SS2R slip-on far superior to the S4 slip-on, or are they very similar and will I get the same gains from each slip-on?

i dont know much about the V&H exhaust. From what I read the S4 Titanium is a straight thru baffle/race only(more noise) and the SS2R is a 4-2-1 system(quieter and more expensive) i dont think the SS2R is available as a slip on for the ZX6R, only full exhaust.

How much did it cost you for your full system and where did you get it? You had to re-jet your carbs after putting ont the full system didn't you? What kind of gains did you get?

Will the 98-01 SS2-R full exhaust fit on a 2002 also?? Just curious, looking into my options for exhausts.
