this is a 98 kawasaki zx6r with 18000ks(yes i am in canada(alberta near calgary)so in miles the bike has roughly 12500miles on it.it has been serviced every 2500miles with some good sintetic oil and it just had one not long ago.

ok!! now i'll show you why the bike is so special!

-special shiny solid black paint with brushed aluminium decals.
-polished frame,subframe,swingarm,pegs brackets,wheels lips,gaz cap.
-black tinted windscreen.
-flush mount(front),short stalk(rear)indicators with clear lenses.
-billet polished aluminium frame sliders.
-billet black slash cut racing pegs (riders & passengers).
-tank pad.
-undertail kit (so no ugly fender ).
-rear wheel hugger.
-k&n filter.
-dynojet stage 1 jet kit.
-advance tuning pipe(black&chrome, loud but sound good)

now mecanic wise this bike runs and shift smooth, does not puff black or have any problems of some sort.
i added this to the bike in the last 500miles;

-sprocket specialist new front(14t)and rear(45t)yes this bike wheelie on the snap of throttle.
-new gold 520 rk chain.
-new dunlop 208's tires.
-new ebc front brake pads.

so this bike needs NOTHING it's in showroom condition.i have spent over 5000$ in add ups to this bike to make it unique and make it look like a real black ninja should be.i 'am going back to school so i need money but i'll miss this baby. i am asking 8000$ canadian for it so 6200$ u.s ,buyer pay shipping or will arrange pick up.

i'll get back as soon i know what

Great looking bike... But $8K seems quite high for a 98, especially at this time of year.

if you know the real value of things, this is not that high in price ,considering in the trader they sell between 6500 to 7000 STOCK, AND EVEN SEEN ONE FO 8000 BUT IT WAS TOO HIGH,dont forget i have over 5000$ on top of this bike and go buy a stock one ,do the same to it and you'll see what i mean. do you know how much it cost to polish the entire bike? you want something nice you gotta pay for it or you get the ugly one than everybody has,ya it's call being unique.

life is life.

hey, i agree with madgamer, you ain't going to get $8K for it, unless you find a sucker. not because your bike is a piece of crap - its a beautiful bike, as is mine that i am selling for $4 freakin grand. Mine is a 2002. I can't get shit for it, simply because its a 600 and the market is terrible. good luck with selling it though

Good luck on the $8K. I had pretty much the same thing you have done but on a 01 and it took awhile to get $5,000 for it. You have to find the right person to buy something custom and pay what it is worth. I go through this all the time with my cars. Alot of people wont buy custom or fixed up bikes or cars because they want to do it there self or they dont want to have someone else's custom bike.

The market NOT that good in Alberta either, when you consider that a new 03 can be purchased for 10,700 including all taxes. Remember that the bike is still 5 years old, it's a beautiful bike, but it will be very very hard to get that kind of money for it. Especially when you can buy a bike for the price in the ad below.

Ad from Edmonton Bargain finder:

2000 Kawasaki Ninja ZX9R, 7000kms, polished frame & rims, new rear tire, black & purple Millenium Edition, $7500 obo.

Good luck bro, it's a beautiful bike. I hope you can get what you want for it. It sucks when you invest all that time and money for little return.
