Ok I got a set of vortex rearsets used, but I thought they came with a new shift linkage (rod thats threaded on both ends). To get mine to work I had to get it all the way to its end of adjustment then move it on the tranny spline. The stock rod is a bit on the short side.

I have it working now but it shifts better when its not so far back on the spline.

The Vortex rearsets DO come with new rod linkages. They come with two... A long one and a short one. You use one for stock shifting and one for GP style shifting....

I believe for normal shifting you use the longer of the two.

Call Vortex and see if they will send you out some replacement rods. Even if they charge you I am sure it would be nominal.
