I wanted the tail section to stand out a little more. I considered both, and I know the purple would have matched the lines on the tail more, but I did a test of each on a picture in (yep...you guessed it) photoshop, and the purple was a bit too subtle/dark for me. From a distance it almost looked like the stock seat being as dark as it is. It won't matter much anymore anyway - I have a buddy in a body/paint shop that is going to give me a hand with the 'Winter Project' in the next few months here.
