I'm new to this site so please excuse any errors I may make.

I have a 2001 Vulcan 800 Classic that has a knock in the rear cylinder. My local dealer told me it was a spark knock and the problem probably couldn't be fixed. I tried Seafoam first then a hotter plug. After a long trip the noise seems better but not gone. This has been ongoing for a few years now. Anybody have the same problem?

Vulcan 800 Knock

It just turned 17,000 but the knocking has been going on before 10,000 rolled over. I took it in to get the valves adjusted then and thought that would fix it.

I only asked because Vulcans are somewhat known for this type sound, especially when the mileage hits around 20k. Not many people on this board have cruisers, you may want to look for a Cruiser or Vulcan forum, I'm sure you will get better help there
