I have a problem with my FI (FUEL INJECTOR LIGHT) comes on at idle sometimes. If I give it some gas, it goes out. anyone know what this is all about???

It isn't a Fuel Injector light; it's a Fault Indicator light. It's similar to a check engine light. I don't know if there's a way to short the diagnostic pins on the Vulcan to have it flash the trouble code or not.

How many Miles ? What Year ?
Is it the Yellow light ?
Has the Bike any Modifications/Aftermarket parts fitted ?
