Hey guys, wondering if I can get any help with this one. I have a 03 636. The rattle is coming from the key mechanism. It's not the housing, but the actual silver key mechanism that the actual key goes into. Seems like its alittle loose and its getting worse each year. I usually get the metal on metal sound around 7rpm. Before I started spraying stuff down there I figured I'd ask you guys. Thanks.

I get the same sort of rattle / buzz on my 05. Right around the 6.5k-7k RPM range. It sounds halfway between a buzzing bee and sort of a shearing of paper sound. Terrible analogy but hard to really explain I guess.

I've used white lithium grease. I searched the internet and forums and everywhere, and someone mentioned it help them out. I picked it up for a few bucks at AutoZone, but you can find it anywhere. Liquid Wrench | Uses

It's helped mine out a bit. Though not perfect
