Hey gang, just wondering if anyone has ever had a problem with the bike not starting after it sat in the rain.
Itsat in a down pour for a day or so. Went to start it (still slightly wet) and when I turn the key on... nothing. No lights (instrument, etc), no nothing. I sat on it and walked it about 10' or so; upon hitting the front brake (the bike jarred to a stop) the inst. lights turned on! Well, as soon as I hit the starter switch, they went back out.
Now, no matter what I do, I can't get them to come back on and it shows no sign of life :(

bad ground or nasty connection at the keyswitch connection. water sitting in there will short the plug to ground and generate heat and kill things.

still check the simple stuff tho.. just meter it out anf you'll find it.

ALSO
pull the tank off, pull the airbox, pull the #2 and 3 plugs.. water pools in the plug tunnels.
it leaks from the ram-air tubes. trust me...lol
