I am looking for some nice boots that I can wear to school and work.

I have a price max around $250.

Suggestions?

Take a look at some Axo boots. I just bought a pair and love them.

I have a pair of steel-toed boots (but still a relatively narrow toe) that are about halfway up my calf. I paid $24 for them. They work just great.

I really like the Sidi brand, just wish they were a tad cheaper. I hate being on a budget!!

theyre comfy, and i wear them everywhere. they will make your feet stink though. just be careful when youre taking them off LOL. I can sit and play poker in them for hours though, and they're easy to walk in.

^^I wear SMX+ boots too. Very comfortable boots and well worth the investment. You can find some good used deals if you search hard enough.

If you have pants with a wider enough leg that fits over the boot shaft, no one will actually notice you're wearing motorcycle boots.

I just don't care if someone gives me a weird look since I stuff my pants in them, exposing the whole boot.

Great boots, not a full race boot but still offers great protection. Crash tested. Not boots are going to be crazy comfortable but I wore these to classes and I couldn't complain

I've noticed this as well. My A* boots don't breath very well either, so foot powder is a must. It takes care of that problem.

just picked up a pair of alpinestar smx plus vented. They seem pretty comfy right out of the box. If you do get the smx plus order at least a full size small. I ordered a half size small and still had to go a full size smaller than that!

What size do you wear? I have a pair of Arlen Ness RX boots sz.12 here. Vented very well and comfortable.

If you can find them, buy them. I paid $125 for mine and absolutely love them. Bad thing is, they only lasted a few years because of the bad economy.
