I don't care for Barnett plates...the tabs are thin were they contact the basket...so the bike will often "pull" even when the clutch is pulled in.
EBC knows a thing or two about friction materials. I've used both their cork and kevlar clutches...and prefer the take-up feel of the kevlar. EBC recommends non-synthetic oil in there instructions...fwiw.
DP and Vesrah make clutch kits too...but they rival OEM prices.
So, if this confuses things more just go OEM. Check prices with OEMcycle.com on the factory parts (get the part number from Kawi's parts screen)...they run 15% or more off MSRP.
