Let's see, rode the '95 ZX-6R Seattle, WA to Kingsville, TX about 2,700 in 4 days in March of this year then from Kingsville to Montana and back by way of Sturgis in August about 4,000 miles in 9 days.

I'd love to take a trip that far and long on my 02 6R, but damn that would be tough.

As confortable as the 6R is, it still would be tough for 2700 miles....

In the summer of '96, I rode my Shadow 600 VLX from my house in Boulder, CO to my parents place in New Brunswick, Canada, using a roundabout route that took me through both Toronto and Montreal on the way in, and through NYC and Indianapolis on the way back.

After all was said and done, i put almost 5k miles on the bike...

Me too. I am 55 weigh about 180 lbs and am 5'9" tall. After the Seattle trip I put a Throttlemiester throttle lock on the bike that made things a little easier.

Its like anything...build up your endurance with some longer rides as much as you can take and before you know it you'll be able to go all day. I've found a stop every so often to stretch and move around helps. Never done one of those couple thousand milers...but just from going all day I know I could...takes more energy rippin the corners and riding hard than heading out for a road trip. I would probably want a soft seat to keep the back side happy.

I travelled to W.Virginia from New Jersey over the summer. It was about 700 miles round trip. My butt had a little hard times over the travle but comparing my buddies with Honda CBR F4i, the ninja was so much better. After switching the bikes each other, we all admitted that ninja was the best bike. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

HOLY CRAP!

You must be some sort of machine.

That has to be a mentally exhausting ride.
