Are you in the process of winterizing it or what? I am guessing that is what you are doing so don't forget to either drain the gas tank or stabilize a full tank of gas, pull the battery and let some air out of the tires.

Do a search on 'winterizing' and you will come up with plenty to read.

clean carbs, install jet kit, synch carbs...the rest you can do whenever
BTW, how do you synch your carbs and how do you know if they're off?
is it the cam timing you can change to get more hp or change where you get your hp?

By using a set of vacuum gauges. A lot of accessory dealers sell them in a bank of four. It's then a case of connecting the attached hoses to the carbs and balancing them against manufacturers spec.
