Hero blobs: The blobs of metal on your foot rests which will get worn away if you scrape them on the ground (preferably without following through with the rest of your bike). This is a term most likely used on the other side of the big pond by our friends the Brits.
I've always heard them referred to as 'peg feelers'...AFAIK, that's the proper term for them anyway.
I still remember the first time I scraped my feeler on my old 6E...I had no idea what I did...but it actually snapped the whole feeler clean off. Don't know how, or how that happened without something really bad happening to me and the bike...but I had a cool story that made me feel like a bad ass when I told it to all my non-biker friends. lol...I was such a newb when I first started.
