ok since there are two new models coming out, which would you choose and why? i'm getting very tempted to sell my 2000 and pick up a new one everytime i see or read about them. but at this point i don't know which one i'd go for. so which do you prefer?

Only the FAST survive.

I was thinkin' about that myself. If color is a consideration the RR only comes in green. I have a feeling they both make about the same power. The RR has adjustable swing arm pivot and FI computer. I have a feeling that the RR will be way more expensive because there is supposed to be less than one per dealer and the dealer will bend you over to get one and the MSRP will be higher, too. Also factor in the fact that everyone wants the "hot" bike and the dealer markup is reflected in this. The ZX-6R will replace the GSXR600 as the hot bike this year.

The word down here is the RR might not have "ADR" ,meet the rules it needs to road register it in Australia,so we may only be able to ride the "r" model on the road and the "rr"for track use only <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>
Anyway time will tell

Hello everyone new here; I'm debating this question myself.

The interesting thing is that the 636 motor will be LEGAL in most club racing orgs (Important fact for me...) WERA/CCS ect allow up to 640cc in the supersport classes. I think the 636 will be the hot ticket for 98% of riders.

A guy I know who was in the pits at the Toyota 200 race at Willow where Tommy Hayden was riding his 02' ZX6 with a new "hotrod" 03' 636 motor. Word from my buddy was that Tommy stayed right with Chuck Graves(on his FX R1/R7 hybrid) in a drag race out of the pits. He also mentioned it was running down privateer Gix1k's down the mainstrait. So word is the new 636 is a ripper.

The slipper clutch and swingarm pivot are cool. But unless you plan on doing WSS/AMA racing you don't need them. And unless you've got the know-how to set them up right your probably wasting your money.

The ZX6RR is a LIMITED EDITION, not many dealers will have more than one. The only color it will come in is Green and it will cost more than the 636cc ZX6R.

The Whole Kawasaki site needs a new look.... Flash is good when its good, theirs is boring.
