I wouldn't want to stop hearing anything on a bike, That is your only defense from getting killed. You have to hear everything around you.

ear plugs filter out certain frequencies, they dont totally block out sounds - that would be dumb and no one on this forum would be using them(which a lot of people are, like myself)

i have used one of those windjammers...they suck. not worth the money at all. they are warmer in cold weather, but theres nowhere for your breath to go, so you fog up.

I've never worn ear plugs when riding. I've never really paid attention to whether or not things seem loud on the bike, but I will next time I'm on it, and maybe I'll give the ear plugs a shot.. I'd like to preserve the rest of my hearing the best I can, but I guess if I haven't noticed it before, it must not be too bad.

Also, with that said, I really don't like things in my ears.
