Has anyone tried the Windjammer?
http://www.webbikeworld.com/r2/windjammer/helmet-wind-blocker.htm I need something to block the noise inside my helmet. Does this actually work? I've read a couple of places that it doesnt do anything for noise! [V]

something like that will reduce noise coming in the bottom of the helmet, but I find most of the noise I hear is caused by it hitting the shell of the helmet, so this wouldn't help much, though helping with the cold chin would be nice

I wouldn't want to stop hearing anything on a bike, That is your only defense from getting killed. You have to hear everything around you.

exactly, thats why i never wore them either. I need to hear everything that is going on around me and because i love to listen to the bike

ear plugs filter out certain frequencies, they dont totally block out sounds - that would be dumb and no one on this forum would be using them(which a lot of people are, like myself)

i have used one of those windjammers...they suck. not worth the money at all. they are warmer in cold weather, but theres nowhere for your breath to go, so you fog up.

I've never worn ear plugs when riding. I've never really paid attention to whether or not things seem loud on the bike, but I will next time I'm on it, and maybe I'll give the ear plugs a shot.. I'd like to preserve the rest of my hearing the best I can, but I guess if I haven't noticed it before, it must not be too bad.

Also, with that said, I really don't like things in my ears.
