i am looking to install a yoshimura alpha for a z650 on my z650rs aswell as a high flow air filter and was wondering what exactly a dynojet power commander will do to the bike. The official website says it has a stock map only for my bike. Does this mean it wont work with the new exhaust or does it slowly take the data from the bike and tune it as i go? Dont want to spend $400+ and not even know what it does.

If you install a PC, you'd need to take your bike in to get a custom tune on a dyno to get anything more than what your stock ECU will give you. If you're installing a slip-on exhaust and filter, then I don't think you'll need a PC. Your ECU should adjust to the amount of airflow. Of course, if you want to get the most out of the mods, then a PC will help, but only with a custom tune. Make sense?
