I was trying to remove a stupid aliexpress steering damper from my z800 and I broke the reading ring for the key code. Please please please tell me I can replace the reading coil ring thingy only and I will solve the problem...?

That's the Ignition Immobiliser Aerial and is not available as a seperate component, It's with the Ignition Switch.
On a slightly posotive note it's not specific to your Bike and is a generic parts fitted to a few models so if you can locate a used switch you can rob that part hopefully.

I found two online but I don't see any cables going out of the ignition lock for the aerial. Mine has one main cable for the lock itself & another thinner one for the aerial. Are there Z800 models without the immobiliser feature? There must be..
Here is a photo of the one I found on ebay. Don't know where else to look
