The Kawi ZRX's are the premo 80's superbike! Do you agree?
Suzi GS1100E's are nice, but there's only one big dog
Super clean 81-84 ZRX's fetch $4K and up.
The rumors are that Honda will have a modern-retro CB standard
with handlebars & twin shocks for the US in 09 *we'll see*
If you have a nice ZRX, or admire them, chime in!

sorry bub, the GS1100 was THE big dog. it didn't have the nasty habit of spitting the #3 rod bearing like the kawi ! bring one of those ol KZ,s (no ZRX in the eighties) around and i'll show you the difference between the two ! think i'm kidding ?, see the photo gallery.

I have to agree that the Kz's were awesome. I had a '77 kz1000 and and a '81 kz1000. Both fast bikes for the day. There was an Eddie Lawson replica race bike , KZ1000R that was produced in the early 80's. It had the bikini fairing and was painted green, but it was not a ZRX. Like the other guy said they did not come out till the 90's and they started as 1100's. I personally had an '03 1200 and let me tell you it was pretty fast, light and handle great. Not the fastest bike on the block, but lots of fun !

'82 KZ1000R

Here was my '03.

Hello, got to disagree with all of you. I have a 1984 750 Turbo with roughly 150.00 worth of upgrades kicking out 132RWP at 12 psi of boost and trust me it's fast and it's 25 yrs old. Kawasaki did a hell of a job with that bike! Havent decided how far to go with it, but BOOST IS ADDICTING!!!! David

The 1982 KZ1000R would still have the Eddie Lawson Sig on the tank, but in '83 it did not.

I have a 1977 KZ1000, and its still damn fast! I have pics of it posted in the pre-80's Screamers thread....
