I am interested in purchasing a 636 and have some concerns. I've been riding a 250 for a while and rode a friend's 500 before. Now I know there is alot of power in this bike and am concerned if it will try to wheelie or ride out from under me when I start off in 1st. Are there any advice from the owners on here for me to consider and also safety tips while riding. Thanks

I wouldn't be worried. The 636 is no liter bike. Unless you insanely pop the clutch or nail the crap out of the throttle, the bike isn't going to get out from under you. From riding a 250 and a 500, the 636 is a good next step. Have fun!

Just go easy on the clutch, make sure the bike is properly warmed up and remember even a gixxer 1000 is tame if you go easy. The only hard thing to do is getting OFF the bike once you started.:)
