Budget body cameras?

I have heard/read that helmet mounted cameras are illegal(Source included below), but figure that anything mounted to my bike would vibrate a lot, so I got to wondering if there are any decent, and affordable body cameras on the market that would work well for motorcyclists.

Anyone here use a body cam when riding? If so, please include make/model, pros/cons, and links to where they can be purchased.

"Projections. A helmet shall not have any rigid projections inside its shell. Rigid projections outside any helmet’s shell shall be limited to those required for operation of essential accessories, and shall not protrude more than 0.20 inch (5 mm)."

I think it depends on where you mount it. Mine vibrates a little much when I try to mount it to the mirror stems.
In this video I have it mounted to the left passenger peg, extending it out about 3 or 4 inches. This is with a cheap ($20) go pro knock-off. https://youtu.be/SSYOM9liRfc

That may be an option, I am also looking for something that will capture the view from closer to my own point of view though.

If you mount a camera to a sturdy part like the gas tank or a peg it will only shake with road vibes but if you go with the mirror of wind screen it acts like a lever and then you see more of the motor vibes. I would mount it/ a cheap go pro on the nose under the headlight, cant get a beter perspective then that. My 500 and 600 both have a little plastic removable door thing there, that might be a good option?

What is this door thing you speak of, specifically on the 500?
