98 ZX6R rebuild stator help!

Rebuilding a 98 zx6r and the bike was obviously dropped on the stator cover. The flywheel has bad scratching and surface wear. I haven't checked to see if the flywheel is straight as I do not have the tool to do it myself. Planning on replacing crank bearings, Stator cover and most likely stator. When i pull it off I was able to lossen thr screws holding the stator in with ease, could it have just been loose stator bolts from dropping? My questions are: do you think I'm in need if a whole new crank? Is the flywheel usable in its current condition if I replace the stator and cover? Engine has what is believed to be rod knock before being torn apart would that contribute to the worn flywheel?
