I'm new to this forum and recently rebuilt a 98 stolen/crashed ZX6R. Anybody looking to blow out some winter carbon? Come spring/summer make a scream out here to Edson, maybe hook up and do lunch in Jasper. I've got garage space for looksees and inspections.

I actually got my bike from a guy out in edson,a 99zx6r with only 4500 on the dial at the time. I've riden in jasper before and it's a nice place but the road out there from edmonton is long and straight, boring as hell. Found myself lying, sitting funny and trying all sorts of things to get comfortable on the bike. I wouldn't mind riding out there this coming season, weather permitting of course. On the way back got soaked to shit for like 100 km. On a nice summer day it would be great fun!

Same as the ride to Banff boring and straight as hell. I think we should all get together and head down to the Sportbike west meet in Kelowna this summer. I use to live in Vernon(didn't have a bike) and the roads are amazing. So many twisties and not a copper in sight

zx6nut if you don't mind me asking, how much did the bike cost before repairs? I would love to find one in that condition and build a track bike out of it.

Sportbike west would be cool. Can't wait till spring, this winter seems so long. must be cause I just got this ninja near the end of last riding season. It's all I can think about. Sh1n5, what color is your bike, may recall you from tims on Whyte.

I know Hwy. 16 is boring, hence the excuse to blow out some carbon (Clench right hand and twist, repeat.).
How many northern Alberta riders have been to Sportbike West? If not, go!! It's a good time, been there twice and slated to go again this year(great support by some manufacturers -Kawa!!!, decent door prizes, etc.). Might actually take a sportbike this time. Last two trips I went with a BMW R1100GS (quit laughing, it corners better than most, lots of USEABLE torque, and only caught on the straights).
Sh1n5, I bought the bike at an auction, I bid high to get it for sure ($2500.00), put it together for another thousand (like I said, did alot of stuff myself). Got a friend out here with a punched out 93 CBR600 (its got the top end from a 900RR, bumps displacement to 695), goes like a scalded cat, and he can't wait to ride this 6R.

You wish! We have to wait at least six weeks to ride. I need to move down south.

I usually judge when I can start to ride by when the snow is totally gone from my back alley. By then the streets are clear and usually the goddamn gravel is at the roadside. I hate the friken gravel! That shit never disapears, in some places it can be around all year! pisses me right off.
