tie rod lengh

just bought a 2007 Z750R and noticed the tierod is adjustable with three holes, what are the advantages?? I have niticed when parkedon the kick stand the bike is pretty unstable almost sitting up right??? does any one know what the length of the stock tie rod?

what is the puropse of and adjustable tierod???

You have lowering links. The longest one will have the most lowering effect on the bike. The shortest will have the least. I have an 05/06 so mine will be different than yours, hopefully someone else with the same year can chime in to help.

As for the purpose? Easy way to get multiple adjustment levels for the bike depending on rider height without having to manufacture them in different lengths.

so has nothing to do with or affecting handling? do you need to modify the kickstand as it is sitting almost straight up....

it affects the handling by making it worse. If you want better handling take it back to stock height. If you want to leave it as is you can get a shorter kickstand or cut and weld yours.
