Z750 Tip Over sensor. If it is ...

Hi all,

I need to replace the rear shock on my 2007 Z750.

I plan to take the tank off the bike. Take battery out. Then lay bike on its left side. Of course it will be supported on its side so not to dame the gear lever etc. So not flat on its side.

By taking the battery out will this mean the tip overs sensor will not pick up that the bike is laying down? Thus when the bike is back up right it will start up and not have the tip over sensor trigger?

I have no other way to get the shock out that lay the bike over. I do not have a place that I can hang the back of the bike up from to get the back wheel off the ground.
