Here is my build in process. I grabbed a second RR recently (yes, ******, I know, I know). The new RR will go to as original as possible. I decided to take the first one I got and make it more of a combo track/street bike. It already had a powder coated and a tweeked motor, so time to take it further. I pulled many of the parts from the 96 P1 build I done recently and turned that one back to a stock bike. It is up for sale if anyone is looking in the West Coast. Here is the list of goodies?

1mm over bore
Ported head
Cams (yet to determine what they are, just was told they were aftermarket)
OPP full carbon fairings with light cutouts
Dual seats since OPP did not make a solo setup. The rear will have a custom cover.
Akrapovic exhaust with carbon can
Muzzy fan blade
Harris rearsets
PFM narrow band front brakes
Attack upper and lower adjustable triples
Stock RR forks, tweeked by GP Suspension, anodized black
Lockhart 1/4 turn throttle
999 Brembo radial master cylinders with custom caps
Vortex clip ons
Ohlins TTX ZX10R rear shock
Dymag front and rear with solid cush
Renthal 15/46 sprockets
Most bolts are titanium (even more once I get the 09 ZX10R forks and swingarm on)

The bike will be:
Black frame, subframe, forks and swingarm
Carbon bodywork
Green ZX7RR factory color tank
Blue wheels
Blue covers on the master cylinders
Possibly a blue rear seat cover, cannot decide on the color

I am tired of too many torn apart projects, so I resisted the temptation to put the 09 ZX10R Ohlins forks, 09 ZX10R swingarm and Brembo rear caliper on for now . Too many things to change, especially to my Dymags so that will be something later. Plus it would be a shame to not run these PFM brakes to see how much I like them.

Yeah, I am one of those that started a build thread and never completed. I guess I was busy building and selling all the spare bikes and ignoring this one. It is on the table ready for surgery. I finished hooking up the Muzzy Ti pipe and completed the install of a brand new wire harness. I now need to get the brakes on there, hook up the carbs and breathe life into her this weekend. I will then put the OPP Carbon fairings on and take her for her first ride. I am trying to get this together to ride it to the Moto GP race this weekend.

RR goodness
Just put on the Muzzy linkage, dogbone and Ti pipe. Too lazy to pull the Ti header to put on the Ak, so this is good for now. Also will put on the Muzzy fan when I put the Ak pipe on. Also put on the ZX10R Ohlins shock. Running stock wheels for now since I cannot find the spacers for my Dymags. I am selling my R6, VFR and Duc 750SS IE, so I will ride the RR until I get a new commuter. My flatslides are still screwed up, so I will run some CVs for now. Need to get the flatslides to the machine shop :eek

All that is left is the PFM narrow band calipers and rotors, Brembo master cylinders and some new tires. Maybe I can fire it up tonight?????

Trying to get the ZX6 throttle to work with the carbs, while getting the R1 kill switch wired in. I will get some after I get the Vortex clipons, Ducati/Brembo master cylinders, switches and throttle on. Damn I wish the flatslides were not in the hospital. I did find the airbox for the 01 ZX7R, so at least I will be able to ride it until I get the flatslides back from the machine shop. I have a mill, but lack the balls to rework a $1300 set of carbs.

I am going to take a spare 96 swingarm, axle, brake bracket and Dymag to JoJo to get some spacers made. Maybe he can get this done by Friday.

Putting on the sexiest brakes I have seen (PFM narrow band) with the Duc MCs. In the rear are the Galfer rear rotor and Vortex 46 sprocket. I have a 15 sprocket in the front with a new chain. Also pics of the custom titanium rearsets. New Pilot powers going on. The old tires are going on the R6 I am getting rid of this weekend.

Custom Titanium rear sets

Damn ... It always takes longer to do this than you think. But then again, I am putting on the Fiat fairings on my 04 R6. Too many projects. The R6 will be gone next week with my 2000 VFR, so they are taking priority, along with the Turd (bastardized 03 ZX7 from older threads here). Now I just need the 99 Duc to disappear and I can get the new toy I am eying ...

how much is this stuff?

brake rotors, calipers, fender?
I bought the brakes with a bunch of stuff from a guy in UK. Can't remember the breakdown as I also grabbed an Akrapovic pipe and some Harris rearsets. Wasn't cheap as I remember.

The carbon fender is part of a full OPP fairing set I got with a bike that I just sold. That bike also had an Akrapovic pipe. I bought the whole bike for $1100 (not running). I pulled the pipe and fairings, put on a stock pipe and some stock, decent fairings and sold the bike for $2000 after I got it running. So I guess that means he paid me $900 to take the Akrapovic pipe and OPP Carbon fairings.

I am in a bit of a rush to get this bike running so I can have something to ride for now. I am selling off lots of stuff. Once I get something new for a daily rider I will pull this Muzzy pipe, put on one of the Akrapovic pipes and put on the Dymags. As I am typing this, I am talking myself out of leaving the Muzzy pipe on there and just swapping the Ak pipe and Muzzy fan on now. There is no water or oil in the bike, and it would be silly to not take a few minutes to swap these things. We shall see how I feel tonight.
