Does anyone make high compression pistons?

I have been looking around to see if I could find high compression pistons but so far I have not seen any. Am I over looking them or is it true that none are available?

I called JE Pistons and they will make them custom but I have to buy 4 at a time. Anyone interested in splitting the order with me?

what exactly are u wanting to do with the bike? the stock compression is 11.4:1 IIRC.
get ahold of marc at www.factorypro.com they might be able to help, they've done a few winning race 250's and might have info.

I know it seems crazy but I want to build a 250cc Ninja specifically for land speed racing. The class is exactly 250cc so I can not over bore. On most sportbikes compression is more like 13-1 and I have had a 1000cc ZX-10 that was closer to 13.8-1 afer shaving the head etc.

So basically I need as much top end HP as possible and if I have to give up a little street manners/low end torque I am fine with that. So I was thinking that I could get pistons made to get me to that compression ratio easier than trying to shave the hea due to the other problems with that approach.

Rotts-

keep us informed of your progress. i dont even have a 250r yet (waiting for the prices to come down alittle) but i'd be interested in a set of hi-comp pistons as well. Drop me a PM and i'll give you my email address.

I see all kinds of posts on exhausts, jet kits (I cant believe in 2008 I have to ride a bike without EFI) airbox, filters etc. But I dont see much on head porting, compression increases, pistons, cams.

If I decide to do this thing I will likely slam it for aeros and build a custom fuel tank for a lower tuck too. I will also try other fenders for better front tire coverage. On my other land speed bikes the fender alone made a good difference.
